As a social media platform, Instagram has occupied a large part of people's lives in the past few years. Lots of people are spending time on it for sharing photos, videos as well as enjoying the reels. But the surprising thing is that this outgoing 2023, Instagram has become the most deleted app. Yes, you read that right!
Among all the applications that users have deleted from the phone this year, this app from Meta is at the top position. You will be surprised to hear the next two names, because the popular Snapchat and Telegram apps have also been deleted by people. In other words, the users are shaking off the widely used apps, but why?
The number of social media users is increasing, Instagram is also being deleted. According to App Report, the number of social media users has already exceeded 4.8 billion, with people spending 2 hours and 24 minutes online every day. However, by the end of 2023, this number is expected to break the record.
But despite all this, Instagram and Threads platforms of Meta have lost their place in the minds of users. In this case, the new micro blogging platform Threads lost the most users in a week. While the app hit a record 100 million users within 24 hours of its launch, 80 percent of users left the platform within the next 5 days. As a result, the company suffered a lot of losses.
And, as I said earlier, Instagram is the most deleted app this year. In 2023, 1 million people are reported to have searched the internet for how to delete Instagram account, and more than 10,20,000 users have deleted the app. Originally Threads, because of its link with Instagram, users decided to get rid of it. These apps have also been deleted. Snapchat is the second most deleted app of the year. 1,28,500 people have reportedly deleted it. It is followed by an X meaning the name of Twitter and Telegram. Not only that, thousands of people also said goodbye to Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp apps that are companions of Roznamcha. For example, the report claimed that 49,000 people deleted the Facebook app and 4,950 users deleted WhatsApp. Although the reason for this action is not so clear!
